Ancient Egyptian life was mostly around the River Nile which was used for watering crops and transport.
The Ruler of the country was a called a pharaoh and they would order a pyramid as soon as they became king. The pyramid was to keep their body safe after they died as well as their belongings. Most of the pharaohs were buried in the Valley of the Kings. Before they were buried many important people and some animals were mummified and placed in a sarcophagus to preserve them for the after life. They worshipped several gods and cats were also sacred.
