The length of the Panama Canal is an amazing 80km and connects the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean. The Panama Canal was built to decrease the length of the travel of the boats from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. The canal is over 100 years and is one of the Seven wonders of the modern world. People say that this construction was the hardest challenge yet. In 1914 the canal was finally opened on August 15th and could release boats from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean there and back.
