New Home Learning

Hi All,

Hope you are still keeping safe and well. From Monday (4th May), there will be new home learning packs available to collect from school. Again, if you would rather have the packs emailed to you, send me an email on and I will send one over to you. I have set up a new battle on TTRockstars and some of you may well have been aware that all year 4 children in the country were supposed to take the national times tables check test in June. Obviously, under the current circumstances, all such official tests have now been postponed. However, the people at TTRockstars have sent teachers questionnaires to ask whether we think it would be useful for them to put together some form of test that the children could complete at home around the same time to give us an idea of whether the children are where they should be up to and also to allow the children to take a version of the test that they have been practising for all year. These results will not be sent anywhere and will not have any impact on the children moving forward, but it would be nice to recognise all the work they have been doing. Although the details for how this will work have not yet been put together, I will let you know as soon as I know anything and in the meantime, it would be great if you could have another push on getting the children to really work on their tables at home. If you are unsure of the login details for TTRockstars, let me know and I will send them over to you.

All of the websites below are still providing excellent materials to supplement the work we are providing and, as always, above all, just make sure that your amazing children are staying happy and safe during these incredibly challenging times.

If you need any help or support whatsoever, just send me an email on the above address at any time and I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can.

Stay safe,

Mr. G.

Oliver’s book review of Fing by David Walliams Chapters 3 to 5

I listened to chapters 3 to 5 of Fing. I am enjoying this story.

Mrytle’s behaviour has got worse. She was shouting more and threw chocolate mousse and milkshake at her parents. She ordered her mum and dad to get her a Fing. Her parents tried to look at the library if they could find out what a Fing was.

My favourite part was when Mrytle’s mum and dad were walking down the street covered in chocolate and looked like giant poops.💩💩💩💩

I’m looking forward to finding out what the Fing is. 😁

Lillie-May 2M- Signs of new life

Here are some pictures of the new signs of life we found on our walk.
We found new buds starting to open on flowers, new weeds growing up, new leaves appearing in the trees and flowers starting to open up.
We also found some new baby lambs and ducklings which I loved! They were so cute!
We put some new grass seeds down in our garden and we can now start to see where it is growing through.

Signs of new life by Jensen

I went outside and saw flowers growing on the trees and then I found a butterfly cocoon, it was on the fence next to the house unopened. A few days later, I looked  outside again and it was open so the butterfly must  of flew out of it.

Reading Eggs Awards

My goodness you have all been working so hard!

I would like to say a special well done to Abdullahi, Dalyn, Ella, Fletcher, Jacob M, Jakub O, Kacper and Lillie-May for their amazing efforts this week.

Look at all of the certificates you have earned, it’s incredible – keep it up!

Don’t forget that once you’ve completed Reading Eggs you can still earn certificates on Reading Eggspress too.

Here’s Aurora’s certificate for earning 1000 eggs in one week – 3 weeks in a row! Outstanding!
