Welcome back to the Summer term!

We have lots of fabulous learning to look forward to.

English:
In English we will be looking at the descriptive language in the poem ‘If all the World were…’ by Joseph Coelho and using the inspiration to create our own poem. After that we will be looking at two narratives: ‘The Journey Home’ by Frann Preston Gannon and The Minpins by Roald Dahl and writing our own stories.

Maths:
In Maths we will be working on fractions, time, position and direction and statistics.

Science:
In Science we will be looking at Habitats and utilising our fantastic Forest School area by for example investigating a pond habitat and collecting mini-beasts. We will then be looking at Growing Plants and investigating what a plant needs to grow and stay healthy.

Topic:
In Topic we will be looking at ‘Seaside Rescue.’ We will be looking at the key events of Grace Darling’s seaside rescue and designing and creating our own seaside scene.

Other things:
PE is on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Homework needs to be handed in on Wednesday to achieve ‘green.’
