Summer Term

Welcome to the Reception class page were you will find lots of information about all the learning that happens in the Reception class at Corrie Primary and Nursery School.

What a fantastic Spring term we had learning about the Seasons and about the different types of weather. Understanding the world around us and how we fit into the world.

This involved the children beginning to understand about similarities and differences between themselves and others, including places, objects, materials and living things in their families, communities and traditions.

We discussed the significance of Easter to Christians and how different families in the class celebrate Easter.

The Topic this half term is Super Heroes.

A lot of the continuous provision areas both indoors and outdoors will be enhanced with Super Heroes themed activities.

The children will be drawing, writing and painting pictures of Super Heroes and using ICT to record and describe Super Heroes and their features.

The children will be reading and sharing lots of books on Super Heroes and designing dens for Super Heroes.  They will be learning rhymes and poems about Super Heroes.
